I received my first starter about 2 weeks ago. Initially it was very active. Doubling in about 3 hours. Things were good for several days and then I fed it and placed in refrigerator for a couple days. Since it has been out, it will rise but not as much as before. I did one feeding with whole wheat flour because I couldn't find AP in local stores. Now it seems more runny and will no longer pass the float test. I have been feeding equal amounts of flour and water (100grams each) to 2 cups of starter. Any suggestions to make starter thicker?
