Hi Stephanie, you can certainly use your whole wheat sourdough starter in a white flour bread recipe, but it may not contribute quite the same rise and flavor that a white flour starter will. Whole wheat starters tend to deliver a little more sour flavor, but may also result in a somewhat denser final loaf. I'd encourage you to give your starter a try in a few recipes and see how you like the results. You can always convert your starter to white flour later, if you decide you want to do so.
