Following KA's steps to create a starter, it doubled in size within about 12 hours after the first feeding (about halfway through Day 2). I still waited the full 24 hours as instructed to do the second feeding, but the starter did not rise at all after this second feeding. Now on Day 3, I still fed it after the 12 hours with no rise, but is there anything else I should do, like changing the feeding ratio from 1:1:1 or using whole wheat again? Should I have fed it sooner than 24 hours during Day 2 if it was already doubling in size?
