Hi Trish, I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to respond to your question, and hate to come back at you with more questions, but it would be helpful to know what your starter is composed of, and what your normal feeding routine looks like. Are you follow our sourdough starter maintenance routine, or some other plan? What type of flour are you using to feed your starter, and what is the bread recipe you're trying to make? There are lots of ways to feed and maintain a starter, and different methods will result in different consistencies and rising behaviors. If you feel like your starter is sluggish or not performing well, usually a few days of twice a day feedings at room temperture will restore its normal consistency and rising ability.
