Hi Ashley, I haven't tried adding raisins to a lackluster starter, but I doubt it would do any harm. Wild yeast is present on plants, including the flour you feed your starter; this is especially true of whole grain flours, which contain the outer layer of the grain. It makes sense that raisins would also offer a boost. Let us know how your raisin experiment goes!
