So my 2nd day I had about 1/4 inch of hooch on top. I wasn't sure what to do with it so I just stirred it in and removed half the starter and then fed it according to the instructions. Now I'm second guessing that action. I googled it and there were mixed ideas. Some said stir it in, some said pour it off. So what should I have done. Did I just ruin my starter by stirring it in?
