Hi there, I'm on day 3 of my sourdough starter from scratch. I began with 4 oz whole wheat flour and 4 oz of lukewarm water. I had some nice activity after finding a nice, warm location for my starter. I worried that the location I put it (about 78°F) was a bit too warm, so I relocated it to somewhere about 70°F. This morning, my starter had a very pungeant, almost putrid smell. I discarded all but 4 oz and fed as usual. Tonight, there is no activity in my starter as of tonight. Should I keep feeding this starter or start over?
