Good Morning. I have made about a bazillion starters that have not done anything. This last one I used APF added the 4 oz as well as 4 oz of water. The recipe I found said to not discard any which i'm ok with. I do have mine in a medium sized, metal, mixing bowl so I get that it will not rise well. However mine does look like pancake batter.. Is that normal?
