I’ve left my starter in the fridge for 5 months with no attention. I’ve just taken it out and it’s fairly solid with the brown liquid on top. I’ve added some water, flour and stirred to see what happens. The starter is now brown and smells pretty awful. However, I can’t see orange or pink. The starter itself is about 3 years old so pretty hardy. Do you think it could be ok or does 5 months neglect sound too much?
