Hi there, My starter sat in the fridge, tightly covered for about a month and a half with no feeding. Its has the hooch on top that is kinda dark green, and it does not really have a bad smell, just a alcohol sourdough smell. I don't see any pink or orange that your article mentioned. Do you think it is still good? if so, rather then tossing the half I take off to to feed this one, can I save that, feed it to make a second batch of starter for a friend? This is my first ever starter from scratch, and it was super hearty before. I think its probably fine based on your info here, just kinda wanted to double check what your opinion might be.
