Hello! I have a question about my sourdough starter. To feed it I was using 1/2 cup sourdough starter, 1/2 cup water and 1 scant cup flour and it was getting along great but tended to be stiff. It actually got to the point where it was at the top of my mason quart jar! But I changed it to 1/2 cup starter, 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup flour (1-1-1 ratio) to try and thin it, but it changed. It looked like liquid floating on top and even though it got bubbly it never rose so all I had was the original amount. SO, I changed it back to 1/2 cup starter, 1/2 cup water and 1 scant cup flour but now it won't rise and has a lot fewer bubbles. Can you tell me what may have caused this? I am so disappointed because it was literally climbing out of the jar and I'm afraid it won't get back to being that lively again. (by the way, I do use King Arthur all purpose flour and I absolutely love it!) Thanks so much for any help or suggestions! Gayle
