Thanks so much for all this great info! I purchased a starter from KAF a couple of weeks ago and have been faithfully feeding it and discarding the extra. I have it in the KAC and it does grow and have a bubbly texture throughout. But, when I look at the recipes, most call for at least 1 cup of active starter, some 2 cups. After I remove the 1/2 cup to feed, I don't have a full cup to use in a recipe, let alone 2 cups. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help! Billie Jean
