Hi Angie! In this blog series, Kye found that her preferred non-dairy butter was Earth Balance's Vegan Butter Sticks. For buttermilk, you can take your preferred non-dairy milk and add up to a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice per cup of non-dairy milk as we show in our How to substitute for buttermilk blog. In that blog, we also explained that if the recipe is calling for 1/4 cup of buttermilk or less, that it really didn't make a noticeable difference to just use regular milk, or in your case, non-dairy milk. For yogurt, we recommend using non-dairy yogurt which is much more commonplace in grocery stores nowadays and should be in the same section as the regular yogurt. Our free and friendly Baker's Hotline is here if you ever have questions.
