Hi there, Nina! Lifting the loaf into the pot and leaving the parchment in the bottom or flipping the loaf, so it is seam-side down, into the pot are both great techniques — you can choose whichever works best for you. If you leave the parchment in the baking vessel, you'll want to shape the loaf and make sure the seam side it down. And when using the method of flipping the loaf into the preheated pot, you'll want to shape the dough and have the seam side up, so when it's flipped it will right-side up.
