I made this cake for a reception for a memorial service for a dear friend. My cake looked exactly as the picture but it did not appear to be a big hit. One of my daughters said the raspberries were too tart and since there were a lot of them and the cake was not too sweet, it was not as good as it looked. I did see a lot of half eaten pieces left ,but maybe I was just baking for the wrong crowd. It was beautiful and a lot of work and I am glad I tried it but will probably not make it again. I am a veteran baker so not a big challenge just time consuming.
