Cake strips are a life-saver when it comes to baking even layers. However, if you ever find yourself in a situation where your cakes have a domed top, you might consider trimming the tops and then using the trimmed off pieces to make cake crumbs. They are a tasty way to decorate the bottom edge and potentially even the top edge of the cake too. They add an interesting texture and look fancy, so don't ever let those tops go to waste! Kye@KAF
