After reading the instructions and reviews of the "revised" classic challah recipe I decided to give this one, the original, a try. I weighed the flour and followed the recipe as given. The dough was easy to handle and just slightly tacky. I can't imagine it would be easy to work with a wetter dough (as the revised recipe is supposed to be). This came out very good, soft, but dense and chewy, as I would expect for challah. The flavor was good, also. I suppose I should give the "revised" version a try, but there is absolutely nothing I would change with this version.
