So just to summarise numerically the first approximation would be to replace every 1g of potato flakes with 3.5g of mashed potato, and cut liquids by 50%.
A minor clarification - I assume that means all water-based liquids (like water, milk, orange juice), but would the quantity of, say, eggs or oil remain the same?
