FWIW - a few months ago, I read that lightly spraying the bottom crust with cooking spray helps keep the bottom crust from getting soggy. Maybe it's a placebo effect, but it seems to work for me. I use a metal pan on the bottom rack, with a pre-heated pizza stone always in the oven.
