Molly, we've not experimented with that ourselves. It seems like it might make the butter in your pie crust melt, which would be counterproductive. If you do decide to try this out, make sure you check with the manufacturer of your dish first to make sure it's safe. We definitely don't want you to lose a pie dish in an accident! Kat@KAF
