Oh, that sounds frustrating, Cynthea! We always recommend reading the full recipe before moving ahead with any steps because it helps us to catch little things like this before they happen. On the upside, we've also experienced runny filling when experimenting with different substitutions for the egg-allergic, and some people said the "crunchy bits around the edge" were their favorite part!
