Here's what I do, works every time. Put pan in fridge for at least a 1/2 hour before making cake. Melt butter and with pastry brush, spread on every nook and cranny of pan. Butter solidifies and then whole oven is preheating and cake is being mixed, I put back in fridge. Let cool 10 to 15 mins, always works for me.
