Hi Marie, I haven't tried using the autolyse method with a Zo bread machine, but I think the best way to do so would be to mix the flour and water briefly by hand until everything is moistened, and then put it in the bread machine to rest for 30 minutes or so before you turn on the machine. Reserve an ounce of the water from the recipe so that the yeast will dissolve properly after the rest period. I think this would work fine, but I'm not sure the benefits you might see would be worth the trouble, especially with your torn rotator cuff!
