If you're hoping to go for the chocolate cake with vanilla icing (or chocolate on chocolate) version, you can use our Cake Pan Cake recipe as the base. It's just as easy to bring it together, doesn't use butter, and calls for a hot liquid (coffee, milk, or water) to be added. Oh, and it's equally delicious too, just in chocolate form! One batch will make about 12 cupcakes; bake at 350°F for about 18-22 minutes.
