Hi Emme, we didn't test a version of the sweetened cream cheese filling, but we think it could be a nice addition to use something like the filling from our Inside-Out Pumpkin Muffin recipes. It's only lightly sweetened, which will complement the apples nicely. You might want to use slightly less apple filling so that once the cream cheese filling is added, it doesn't leak out too much.
