I went to college just minutes from a Jordan Marsh. I knew a girl who worked in their bakery. She memorized the recipe for these muffins and her math-genius husband reduced it for 2 dozen, instead of 12 dozen at a time. She shared the recipe with whoever wanted it. Cars were few and far between back then (1960's), so we'd pay someone who could drive to Jordan's and she would pick up a good dozen of them. We would save up all month just for the "Jordan's run". I'm so pleased that the recipe survived after the store closed.
