I don't understand "otherwise reduce it accordingly" in the molasses section: "Use the same approach when substituting molasses: replace the sugar with an equal amount of molasses by volume (e.g., for 1 tablespoon of sugar, use 1 tablespoon of molasses). Adjust the liquids/flour in the same way, adding 1 tablespoon of flour for every 1/4 cup of molasses used if there's no liquid added to the recipe; otherwise reduce it accordingly."
Actually, what I want to do is reduce the amount of liquid sweetener that is already part of the recipe I want to use. Instead of 2/3rds cup of molasses I want to use 1/2 cup. Should I reduce the amount of flour by a couple of tablespoons. Is that the idea?
