I love your site, found by accident during lockdown and have made some super bread using your recipes and tips. However, I live in the UK and I’m afraid these are just not scones! Scones should be a fluffy, risen, round of delight, with a smooth top, cut in half and served with cream and jam. The best recipe I have found is by Paul Hollywood, who uses strong bread flour. They can also be savoury, with cheese.
