The writer of this article equated “custard a.k.a. vanilla cream pie”. Two totally separate fillings. Yes both have eggs,milk,sugar,vanilla but the resemblance ends there. As pie makers know,the custard is poured into a unbaked crust and baked,the vanilla cream filling is cooked on top of the stove poured into a baked shell and refrigerated.
