Thanks so much for the tip about the instant yeast. I will have to try it because it seems like this batch is worse than ever. It hardly didn't rise at all, and even with adding more flour I can't braid it at all. I'm fighting severe discouragement right now, but I refuse to give up! Maybe I can put this batch into muffin tins and have sweet little challah hockey pucks. ;)
Lord willing today I can get the bread flour and the instant yeast and let you know tomorrow how it goes.
Another question that just popped in my head I hadn't thought about before...
Could putting the dough in the fridge with so much honey be bad because doesn't honey harden up when it gets cold? So sorry to be so much trouble.
