I use the POWDERED BUTTERMILK and butter. I shred frozen butter and gently toss it and coat it in the dry mix then add buttermilk to bring everything together. I shape into a rectangle patting gently and letter fold 4 times. Patting out to rectangle each time. Then leaving in a rectangular shape I use a sharp knife to cut and make SQUARE biscuits. (Sponge Bob Biscuits) They are perfect everytime. And beautiful golden brown. KA is the absolute best flour. And I use the Dry Powdered Buttermilk. It's nice to always have buttermilk on hand. It's beyond convenient for ppl who don't want run to grocery for that 1 baking item you don't use daily. Or if you're like me you place an order once a month from grocery because you do not drive. Or use mail order. But I can not say enough about KA flour. And at my age, and being a military kid my Mom taught me using all brands. Living in Canada on a military base we learned to use powdered milk for everything. Mom said its all the base had. Maybe cows went south for winter from Canada to Florida. Lol. But mixing it in with dry ingredients is easy then you just add the water.
