Nailed it!! i've been trying and trying and trying to get baguettes (or any bread for that matter) right, and after following these instructions and watching the videos i finally made baguettes that 1.) fit into the baguette pan, 2.) didn't schmooze out and make one giant lump, 3.) wasn't hard as a rock on the outside 4.) rose each time as described, 5.) wasn't a sticky springy blob that rebelled against rolling into a baguette shape, and finally...6.) was perfectly crusty on the outside and soft on the inside - and actually tasted GREAT!! woohoo!!
