Ruth, let's work backwards: according to the recipe online, the amount of flour you need is 11 1/2 ounces. So if you grind 12 ounces of berries, you should have sufficient flour, after any clings to the inside of the mill's canister or its interior, for the 11 1/2 ounces of flour you need. It's easier to work with weights here since, as you say, people may grind the berries on different settings and the volume may fluctuate a bit. Hope this helps — PJH
