This is a traditional cake in my family. So good. The filling can be lightened by foling in some whipped cream which I think is the take used for "Norway's national Cake." Changing the flavor profiles make it so versital: Orange, lime, almond...it could go the way of a tiramisu with some rum, cocoa and espresso powder in the right places or spiced up with some heat added to the cinnamon sugar. A great torte!
