I am the same. I love cakes and cookies but I cut 25% as a matter of course. I have been afraid to cut more in cakes. I still find most cakes at my highest level of sweet tolerance at that level. Thanks to this, I’ll try cutting even more. Just as a suggestion, I’m finding Italian recipes more attuned to my sweetness preferences so am currently exploring this kind of baking.
