Great article. I have seldom made a recipe with recipe listed sugar, or have substituted maple syrup & molasses when possible. When family was young, I used apple juice concentrate or oj concentrate in many things. Recently watching the Great British Baking show has peaked my interest for baking things I've never done before so was DELIGHTED to find this article. From using little to no sugar in many things "fruit", it will be refreshing to try again, to bake my first "fruit cake" in 55 years! as well as going for a few other goodies.
