Hi there, Megan. The chocolate filling shouldn't burn where it is exposed on the top, it will become a little darker in color and caramelize a bit but it won't have a bitter, burnt chocolate flavor. During baking, if the top of your loaf is getting too dark or you are worried about the filling, you can tent it with some tinfoil to prevent further browning. Happy baking! Morgan@KAF
