Is there a difference in the type of thermometer one would use with bread? I have the instant read type that I just stick into food and read the temp. And I have the kind where the probe stays in the food and the temp gauge outside the oven is connected to the probe inside the oven. I like the probe thermometer in general because I don’t have to open the oven door or take the food out of the oven to check the temperature.
