I started my starter at the beginning of the pandemic in March.It was a slow start but I now seem to have a happy vigorous mix.I used the most recent discarded to make this pizza dough. It was a great success .I also made pretzels from the discard from the second starter that I am working on.They were excellent and fun. I started with the King Arthur recipe for one starter and a NY Time recipe for the second. By now I have improvised and combined and I seem to have two working batches.I also took some advice from Ree Drummond.It takes a village !
