Hi Martha, I would recommend checking to make sure that your removable crock pot and lid are oven safe, and to what temperature. If your lid is glass, I wouldn't recommend baking in the oven with that lid. I would also avoid preheating your pot empty. If you find that your pot is suitable for baking up to 450°F, you could still preheat the oven and place the bread and pot together into the preheated oven. When you bake this way, remove the (oven safe) lid after 25 minutes of baking. If you allow the dough to rise in the pot before baking, be sure to grease the pot well, or line with greased parchment paper. The dough is a little more likely to stick when it spends an extended time rising in the pot.
