Hi Harry, the Bread and Potato Pot will hold a 2-pound loaf, so you could certainly bake many of our sourdough recipes in this pot. Quite a few of our sourdough recipes are divided into two loaves, and this size loaf should fit nicely in this pot. However, if you wanted to make one large loaf, I would opt for a larger Dutch oven.
