Maranda, I am having the same problem with my bread baking so fast it is so dark on the outside it is difficult to slice. I am new at this but have fallen in love with baking my own bread. I have been playing with the temperature of the oven but have not figured it out yet. One question I have is if the bread seems moist on the inside is it done? This is my struggle. It’s super crusty, dark and hard on the outside and just seems slightly undone on the inside. Although toasted it is absolutely delicious. My other question is, can you offer advice on the best bread slicer to buy? I have arthritis in my hands, so cutting the bread is extremely difficult even if it isn’t too hard.
