Hi Karen, you certainly can! The easiest and most accurate way to reduce a recipe in half is to multiply the weight of each ingredient by .50. If you're worried that your scale doesn't weight accurately when it gets to such small increments, half the yeast would be 2 1/4 teaspoons, and half the salt would be 1 1/2 teaspoons.
