Hi Chris, you're correct that a 3-quart Dutch oven should work well for that amount of dough. Depending on the recipe, I find you can generally fit up to 2lbs of dough in a 3-quart Dutch oven, although very high-rising recipes might be a bit of a squeeze. The shape of the Dutch oven can also play into this; this 3-liter Combo Cooker is particularly well-suited for handling a somewhat larger loaf, while a flat-lidded Dutch oven might not be able to hold quite as much dough.
