Hi Sara, it sounds like your loaf was a little over-proofed, so if you bake your next loaf a little earlier, when it hasn't risen quite so much, this should make for more resiliency when it comes time to transfer it to the pot. Alternatively, you could allow the shaped loaf to rise nice side up in a bowl that is lined with sprayed parchment paper. When it comes time to bake, simply lift the parchment and dough out of the bowl and lower it into the hot pot. This method has several advantages: no need to grease the pot, no need to flip the loaf, and it will be easy to get your loaf out of the pot after baking.
