Would this method work with a steel stockpot (with cooking spray)? Mine are basic but seem able to withstand the heat, even the empty pre-heat. The small one does have a steam vent, but I bet I could plug it up with some aluminum foil. I realize this isn't the best method, but this size Dutch oven seems out of stock and for other domestic reasons, I'm curious to try this way first. Thoughts? Thanks!
