Good question, Dorothy. The answer is, it depends. If it's a smaller loaf and your kitchen is relatively cool, it could be ready to slice in as little as 2 hours. If it's a large loaf and it's warmer in the room, it could take 5-6 hours. It's safe to say that the majority of the time, a loaf is cooled and ready to slice after 2-3 hours. Happy baking!
