Ellie, you'll want to preheat your pot to the temperature that your recipe calls for. (The No-Knead Crusty White Bread recipe calls for baking at 450°F, which is what we use to preheat the pot too.) Just be sure your pot is safe to preheat empty—not all Dutch ovens can withstand this intense heat. I hope this helps, and happy baking! Kye@KAF
