Mary, for 2 lbs of dough, we'd recommend using a Dutch oven that holds at least 4 quarts. With a pot of this size, you can feel assured that the dough will fit nicely inside, even with a flat top. Do be sure to check with the manufacturer that the pot can be pre-heated empty, as not all Dutch ovens can be used in this way.
