Hi Paula, 3/8 of a teaspoon of salt would be a little less than 3g, but the tricky part of measuring that amount of salt by grams is that unless you have a micro scale that is geared for weighing very small amounts, your scale might not be very accurate. If you happened to have our measuring spoon set, which does include a 1/8 teaspoon, you could add 1/4 teaspoon plus 1/8 of a teaspoon, which would give you 3/8 teaspoon. You could also use a 1/2 teaspoon, but only fill it about 3/4 full.
